KLAS-TV (LV, CBS, channel 8) just announced today that the Lady Luck Casino will be closing in early February, 2006. The employees received letters today at a staff meeting that they will all be PERMANENTLY laid off (to me that means fired) and there is NO guarantee that they will be re-hired when the casino reopens in spring 2007, after extensive remodeling.
