8,000 miles and back home-whew!

8,000 miles in 12 days. But we wanted to find out a few things for the guide, and did. We just got home yesterday and I have a bag of goodies to go through. Jim M. I have dice for you, Paul B. I have chips for you, Don T. I got the napkins you wanted, and Esther--I have pens and matches. I need to go through the rest sometime today. We hit OK, MS, IN, Ill, IA, SD, ND, and Montana. A couple of the Indians in MN have new cards--Treasure Island was a good find, and we found a few on the machines as well. We ended up with Montana as the last stop, and did some research on the cards. We did find out the bar codes are put on by the mfg in California. They are sent to a company in Montana, and then they are sent from there to a distributor. Seems like a lot of middlemen! But I needed to know WHO puts on the bar codes, and it is the company in California. Samples are sent to the salesmen in Montana without ther bar codes. We were also told that this company is no longer doing the cards for the casinos, and they will be on their own once they run out of the ones they have in the casinos. The company said they even liqidated the balance of their samples. The real cards are still a bugger to get. A lot of "locals only" signs are posted. Some use pin numbers, some use magnetic tabs. Silver Wolf now uses the Rocket Bingo, but again--locals only. Anyway, I have 142 email to go through, so if I promised you something from the trip, I will get to you as soon as possible. It is good to be home. Pat
