Skip,this is the same issue I brought up a week ago.I still don't have the answer but from the posts I have gotten a little better understanding.Seems like the chippers do a little better job of promoting their hobby and have more of a reginal flavor pertaining to shows etc.I mean I see shows posted in the mid-west,east coast,as well as nevada.I only see slot card shows posted in the WEST.Chippers have a more varied fan base.
How big is our pool of collectors?Take the members from the couple of clubs and take away the duplication of dual memberships how many are left?Then subtract those without computers?How many are we talhing about.Does every one of those know this site exists?
I see about 50+ people have read your post but only 6 or 7 have responded.On the chipper side many more respond even if to say HEY!
I still harken back to all of us have to recriut new members from other hobby fields or from the thousands of casino goers who may be closet or novice collectors.PROMOTE!!Need a collector story in a trade magazine.Stick with the chippers and convert them.Start a crusade.EBAY not the answer.
