They are being bought out by their partner, Tamares Investments. A year and a half after buying the properties, Barrick Gaming can't make their payroll, and has missed several interest payments on their loans that were taken out when they bought out the PLAZA HOTEL/CASINO, LAS VEGAS CLUB HOTEL/CASINO, GOLD SPIKE HOTEL/CASINO and WESTERN HOTEL/CASINO. Tamares is giving Barrick $10 million dollars so that they can make the payroll and pay all the vendors. They are also giving them $40 million dollars to make the interest payments current. They will now own over 40 properties in downtown Las Vegas.
