Quick reverse lookup shows that he's an AOL'er, probably just a kid home from school using a dialup connection. Easiest thing to do is just "consider the source".
But he brings up an interesting point, which I will quickly smash into the closest trash can. He questions the value/collectibility of cards and keys. Let's look at what makes things "collectible". (Babe, if you're reading this, feel free to post "insightful" comments).
What makes a good collectible? Limited production, quality of product, scope of product (how many different there are to collect), perceived value, collector base (how many collectors)...and to some extent - rare variations and ease/lack of distribution.
Now everyone name 5 items that fit all the above categories - I will name 5 that "Babe" probably has collected himself! (Maybe he will see the difference): Baseball cards, marbles, toy cars (matchbox, hot wheels, etc.), Pokemon/Digimon, action figures/barbies. Are these worthless? To some, maybe...to others they're worth gold. People collect Pez dispensers (eBay was started by a Pez dispenser collector), yarn, art, cars, toys, ceramic figurines, war medals, etc., etc., ad nauseum...
I once read a tagline on another collecting board...I think it's appropriate here:
"Collect what you like, like what you collect"
and continue to do so....

p.s. Maybe Babe is upset he threw away his "LandMark Casino" card? ;)
