I really don't think Ron Clewell's anology of comparing bungie cords to Silver Strike tokens is a fair comparision. Silver Strikes have monetary value, bungie cords do not.
Collecting the bungie ends without the cords take up much less space and are much more interesting to look at. The cords themselves are just a stretchy plastic rope.
