Now for the rest of the story. I have been fretting about getting this RR all week (and the holiday yesterday really got in the way). I got a call Monday evening that my mother's condition had worsened and last night I got another call from her hospice nurse with the news that she could pass at any time. The RRs came in today (mailman always gets here late) and I got the call about 7:30 this evening that my mother had passed away. So these RRs will be out the door tomorrow and we'll be going to Nebraska until sometime next week.
My mother has been in a nursing home since about 2001 and the past 2 years she's not been able to communicate with anyone - it was indeed a sad and troubling situation for us kids. She would have been 99 in December, so she has had a long and good life. She made it through life without cancer or living on oxygen. She went peacefully and in our estimation, it was a blessing.
I'll talk with you all next week.
