I've had similar experiences and boy do I hate not getting what I was supposed to get. I recently received 3 keys and all 3 had been scotch taped to an index card. I did write the seller and told him to never do that again. I use rubbing alcohol and a lot of work to get the scotch tape off but it eventually comes off and doesn't damage the card.
