Yes, we will see what happens. Keep in mind that anyone that pays for convention attendance is a member for the period of the convention. That should result in few if any non- members attending a trade session in a provided room.
I also hope the provides space for specialty trade sessions. However, I still feel strongly that any room for trade sessions or meetings provided by the should be open to all interested members without restriction. That means no exclusion of members because a regional / specialty club wants to have a business meeting for local / specialty club members only. If you want to exclude members that are not members of the slot card club, then I say by all means rent your own room. If your meeting / trade session is open to all members, then I hope you get a room provided by the .
Note that all my comments do not relate to a member versus non- member issue or prejudice (implied in your post). It is stricly a matter of not excluding members from a provided venue. I hope the BOD and Convention Chair have a similar viewpoint. Trade session space being made available for any casino related collectible is a benefit for the membership as a whole as long as every member is invited to the party.
